I received a telemessage yesterday purporting to be John at the Information Team requesting that I call him on 0871 208 9405 to validate some information sent. This is a con where they keep you waiting whilst charging 10p per minute - the number is owned by TELSTRA EUROPE LIMITED.

Books

I'm currently reading Scott Adams "Dilbert - The Way of the Weasel", I'd recommend his books to anyone starting out at work as they give a totally different perspective on working life.

As I like to have a few books on the go at once I'm also reading "Cosmic Trigger" by Robert Anton Wilson, he is one of the few writers who've actually played a part in shaping the way I look at the world.

Weekend

Well the football was very poor, only went through on a penalty. Fairly dull weekend - did some Christmas shopping. Came home and listened to Hawkwind whilst tidying up.

Work and Life

Well todays going OK so far - I've been generating reports, which makes a nice change from what I've been doing. I'm waiting to hear from a couple of employers about interviews. The FA Cup buzz is starting and I'm really looking forward to tomorrows game. I'll probably be up late tonight listening to some of the 2nd Test. Here's hoping our batsmen can carry on the form of yesterday.

Celebraties ?

Why are there so many so-called celebrities around these days, most of whom have either flashed their boobs, slept with someone famous or appeared acting like idiots on so called reality TV.

Football

I'm starting to get geared up for Swindon's 2nd Round tie with Morcambe.

Work

Well I've just finished a very dull day spent copying and pasting - still I'm being paid well for it I suppose. Spent the evening hanging pictures in our newly decorated living room.

Drug Laws

I advocate the prescription of heroin to registered addicts. This would have many benefits including the following :

1 - Addicts would no longer need to burgle or prostitute themselves to raise money.

2 - Pushers would disappear as they would have no trade.

3 - Providing a safe and clean environment would reduce infections etc.

4- Court and police time would be freed up.
